International Sales Territories with Automated Record Assignment
A Europe-based software company was operating internationally with frequent changes to their sales staffing.
The constant personnel changes caused Salesforce records to be incorrectly linked to the appropriate salesperson and the volume of international business and frequency of changes made it difficult for managers and IT to keep Salesforce updated.
We implemented a global sales territory structure by country allowing managers to select how they wanted each country or area to be managed (by country, state, postal code, partial postal code, or any combination).
All accounts were aligned automatically and any changes in staff would automatically update ownership of the records in Salesforce to the new person. Any changes to country assignments also updated all Leads, Accounts, Opportunities and Contacts.
